Rear Window Defogger Kit
This kit includes a fully functional rear window defogger motor/fan, cover/spacer, and grille, all meticulously restored to their original NOS (New Old Stock) condition. The restoration process includes the addition of the QA factory sticker and authentic yellow paint markings. All components have been sandblasted and repainted in the original gloss black finish. The grille is painted glossy black but can be customized to any color of your choice to match your rear deck. The grille foam spacer has also been fully reproduced, as original replacements are no longer available.
GM rear window grilles were manufactured in three variants—large, small, and small square—depending on the model and year. The kit for sale includes the smaller-sized grille with one rounded end. This is a first-generation defogger motor/fan, used across all GM models from 1964 to 1967. The motor has been fully disassembled, cleaned, oiled, and tested to ensure it functions perfectly.
This kit is compatible with 1965 to 1967 Pontiac (P8) full-size models, as well as (T6/T8) Tempest, LeMans, and GTO models. It also fits comparable Chevrolet, Buick, and Oldsmobile models from the same years. Please verify fitment, as GM used the same part numbers across multiple brands.
