This is a hard-to-find original NOS Factory Rear Window Defogger Harness. The harness is a reproduction, with connectors and specifications as close as possible to the NOS version. The harness for sale measures 154" in length and comes in factory original Green wiring, with Packard-type switch and 1st Generation rear blower connectors. Green main wiring was used until 1967, after which it changed to Purple from 1968 onwards for T6/T8 GTO, Tempest, and Lemans models.
 
There are many vendors claiming their harnesses will fit 60s Pontiac (P8) Full Size and (T6/T8) Tempest, Lemans, GTO, but in actuality, they don’t work. The 1964-1967 T6/T8 Lemans/GTO used a single Green main harness wire from the switch connector all the way back to the blower. The resistor wire (High/Low Speed) was part of the switch assembly. From 1965 FS and 1968 T6-T8 onwards, Pontiac switched to a double wire harness design from the switch connector, with the resistor wire running parallel to the main wire for 54" before converging to achieve high and low speeds.
